Timothy (Tim) J. Sparkman

Tim Sparkman, age 62, of Crystal Lake IL, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2026, surrounded by love.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Judy, and a proud father to his daughters, Alison (John) and Amy (Randy). He was a deeply loving, hands-on grandfather to Tyler, Carter, Kenzie, and Clayton, and a cherished bonus grandpa to Michael and Antoni. His grandchildren brought him immense joy and purpose, and being their grandpa was one of the greatest loves of his life.

After retiring, Tim fully embraced this next chapter. He treasured time with his family—especially his grandchildren—and cherished the simple routines that kept him close to those he loved, including nightly FaceTime calls that meant more than words could say. He and Judy shared a second home in Wisconsin, a place he truly enjoyed, whether working on projects, relaxing outdoors, or simply being together. He was greatly looking forward to traveling more with Judy and enjoying the life they were building side by side.

Tim also dedicated himself to serving others through his involvement with EMA and Search and Rescue, work he took great pride in and found deep meaning in. Helping others, giving back, and being part of his community were central to who he was.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his kindness, his quiet reliability, and the love he gave so freely to his family. He was the kind of man who showed up—consistently, wholeheartedly, and without needing recognition.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; his daughters and sons-in-law; his grandchildren and bonus grandchildren; his brother, Tom; and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by loved ones who we trust welcomed him home.

He will be forever missed and always remembered with love. ❤️
