Stephen (Steve) Clark Edwards, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026 at the age of 78 after a long battle with Dementia and Alzheimer's. He was a remarkable man whose life was defined by his warmth, generosity, humor and vibrant spirit.

Steve found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Every morning, he began his day with quiet reflection, taking time to contemplate his cherished family and friends. His days were often spent outdoors, meticulously tending to his yard—an activity he approached with pride and dedication, always aiming to keep his home organized and inviting. He'd trade plants and tips with the neighbors and was always there to lend a helping hand in any outdoor project. The sun on his face and the fresh air invigorated him as he worked.

Steve was especially devoted to his grandchildren. He embraced every moment with them, whether it was a silly dance in the kitchen, hopping on Rody the horse through the house, or rolling them up in a giant snow boulder while building a snowman during winter days. These activities were not just pastimes for him; they were opportunities to build lasting memories, filled with love and laughter.

Everyone was the beneficiary of Steve's endless sense of humor. You could find "Cool Breeze Steve" or "TGO - The Great One" hiding in a recycling bin to scare the oncoming 4th of July parade, or in a waste high wine barrel vigorously stomping grapes to win a competition or in the living room executing a flawless fashion show featuring his "wooly bugger" fur coat, blue blocker glasses and thigh revealing shorts. He always knew how to find joy in every moment.

Traveling was another passion of Steve’s. He sought adventures to explore new places and cultures traveling to the Bahamas, Mexico, Belize and Italy to name a few. And each place he went, you could find him savoring a lovely glass of red wine or basking in a chair under the warm sun.

Steve was known for his Hawaiian heritage, striking good looks, and a fit physique that inspired those around him. He was often regarded as the best-dressed person in any room and boy could he dance.

Most of all, Steve was generous, kind and always willing to help anyone in need. He became the local animal patrol returning many a pet who would wander down the street while he worked in the yard. He loved to lend a hand when you needed to buy a car and would negotiate the best deal. Moreover, Steve was on every neighbor kid's speed dial when they ran into trouble and were not ready to call their parents. He was also the one that offered you a job when you needed a positive next step in your life, no questions asked.

Stephen Clark Edwards leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unwavering familial devotion. He will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will forever be woven into the hearts of his family and friends, reminding them to cherish life's moments, big and small.

To celebrate our beloved TGO, we will not be holding a funeral or wake, but rather we will gather for a celebration of his life on either May 9th or 16th once the weather gets warmer. Please save the dates and we will publish the updated details once confirmed.
