Sonja Cassandra "Tiny" Perdue was born May 11, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois she was 70 years old. Sonja passed away due to natural causes April 4, 2026. She was raised by her grandparents the late Mattie Redwell and Eddie Perdue. She attended Lindblom High School and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale where she received a BS, Clothing and Textiles and a Specialization in Retail Management. 

Sonja was an advocate of informing and uplifting her community. She was the founder of Chicago Black Business Network and Chicago Black Business Radio. She designed these organizations to express the collective interest of her community through broadcasts that initiated tangible, measurable change through the assimilation of knowledge across various industries and genres.


Sonja was more than resourceful; she was a beautiful person. She loved to travel and stay connected to her friends and family online. You could always feel her smile in her voice. She is survived by brother Willie Little (Kinae Little, Jeremiah McDaniel and Won`Drae Hart) also her nephew Jovon Howard (La`Mour Hunter and Micaiah and Jason Appiah). She was preceded by her mother Delores Little, sister Glenda Howard Hutchinson and brother Dossie Howard. She is celebrated by many other family members and friends.
