Sherri Covelli

Sherri Jo Covelli, 62, of Kenosha, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, surrounded by family. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Sherri was born in Texarkana, Texas on July 14, 1963, while her father, Leonard, was serving in the U.S. Army. She spent the rest of her life in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where she was educated in the Kenosha Unified School District, built a family, and called it home. She loved being a Nana, tending to her garden, country music, and cheering on her Chicago Bears.

Sherri is survived by her children, Jessica Scheel (Ryan) of Oregon, Crystal Johnson (Jack) of Illinois, Joseph Covelli of Wisconsin, and Nicholas Covelli (Katelyn) of Colorado; her 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; her parents, Jean Baker and Leonard Nickel (Pam); and her siblings, Kenneth Nickel (Cyndee), Natalie Nader, Lisa Biggs, Brittany Nickel, and Sandra Hollingshead (Jim).

There will be no public service. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is finally at rest, and hopes she has found the peace and happiness that life made so hard to hold onto.
