Our Beloved Brother, Father, and Friend

With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Shameek T. Dupree, who fell asleep in death on June 5, 2025, at his residence in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Shameek was born on May 15, 1994, at The New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens to his birth mother, Marshell Green.

At that time, this beautiful young baby was then placed in foster care at the Little Flower Children Services Agency, where my mother, Sallie M. Dupree had lovingly cared for many children throughout the years. When she was notified about Shameek, she was excited and overjoyed. He arrived to us around 18 months old, and from the moment he entered our home, he was deeply loved. My mother, Sallie May Dupree, and her husband, Antonio Sierra Jr., welcomed him with open arms. At the age of four, he was officially adopted into our family—a day filled with joy, celebration, and unconditional love.

Shameek is survived by his siblings and other family members:Judith E. Reeder (Gainesville, VA)Tanya S. And extended brothers through our mother’s care:Davon, Akida, Alonzo, Justin, Andre, Malik, Marcus, Steve, and many others who became family

He had many cousins, classmates, and co-workers who cherished him dearly.

Shameek was a devoted father to his handsome son, Liam Carter Dupree, whom he lovingly co-parented with Ana Gomez. Together, they raised Liam with care, respect, and unity.

From early childhood, Shameek had a deep love for cars. Whether toy cars or real ones, he was fascinated by them. His room quickly filled with toy vehicles, and that passion followed him through life.

He attended OTSAR Preschool (1997–1999), followed by P.S. 208, Meyer Levin Junior High, and Automotive High School. After graduation, he chose trade school over college—knowing exactly what his passion was.

He enrolled in Lincoln Tech, where he proudly trained in automotive technology and graduated with pride.

He then moved to North Carolina, working in mechanic shops and continuing to explore his passion for cars. Eventually, he set his sights on a new adventure in Chicago—The Windy City. There, he worked with several companies, including BMW, doing what he loved every day.

Shameek was quiet, shy, handsome, sweet, and deeply loved. His gentle personality and kind spirit touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. Funeral Services held by Cremation Enterprises. Funeral Service at 3918 W Irving Park Rd. Chicago IL 60618. Burial All Saints Cemetery.
