Ryan DeVall

Ryan DeVall, born on November 14, 1980, passed away suddenly at his home on June 7, 2026. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

 Spending time with his family brought him immense happiness, and his presence was often filled with laughter, warmth, and an unshakeable sense of love. Known best for his quick wit and remarkable sense of humor, Ryan had the rare gift of making those around him laugh and feel truly cared for. His presence was a comforting beacon, a reminder of the kindness that can illuminate ordinary moments.

He fought many physical and medical battles for many years, and always managed to keep pushing forward, even when it seemed impossible. He enjoyed comic books, reading, and watching tv series and movies. He found his happiest moments surrounded by family. He also found happiness in the serene beauty of the Lake Superior shoreline, the rugged landscapes of Southern Colorado, and the vibrant energy of Rock Fest. These places were his refuges, where he could relax, recharge, and take in the beauty of life that surrounds us all.

Ryan’s life was a testament to the importance of connection and love and he offered a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He touched many lives with his larger-than-life personality. Though he is no longer with us, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Ryan's three children were his greatest pride and accomplishments, he was incredibly proud of all of them and wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone as much. 

Ryan is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Sue Ray (Couch). He is survived by his wife, Brianna R DeVall (Celesnik) of Chippewa Falls, his three children, Jordan C Atkinson-DeVall of Eau Claire, Paris R (Alec) Frederick of Chippewa Falls, and Dax W DeVall of Chippewa Falls, two siblings, Rusty A Ray of Rochester, MN and Johnna M DeVall of Chippewa Falls, along with many nieces and nephews.

In leiu of traditional services, a celebration of his life has been planned as that is what he would have wanted- family and friends gathering to remember the good times, to laugh, and celebrate the impact he had on all of our lives. The celebration will be held Sunday, June 21st from 1pm-5pm at the Wheaton Town Hall located at 4975 County Hwy T, Chippewa Falls, WI. A lunch will be provided, he wouldn't have allowed you to leave hungry.
