Lynette Marie Combs, (Weir)  was born on May 2, 1968, to Lawrence and Joyce Weir in Janesville, WI and passed away August 30th, 2026 surrounded by loved ones.

Over the years she welcomed her three children and was the proud mother to Joshua, Jared, and Georice.

On June 22, 2002 she married Donald Combs, and together they built a life with one another, bringing their two families into one.

Lynette had a true gift for writing and expressing herself through words, but her greatest gift was the way she made people feel. Her personality could fill a room, and her sense of humor was as vibrant, bold, and unforgettable.

She treasured time with family and friends, soaking up the sun and “getting her tan on,” as she would say. She loved telling endless jokes, entertaining with spontaneous raps, humor, causing a little ruckus, and finding a reason to laugh even when life was difficult. She could find joy in the simplest things.

Lynette will be remembered for her strength, grit, and courage, especially during the hardest seasons of her life. She faced challenges head-on and somehow managed to find the silver lining. Those qualities became part of the legacy she passed down to her children and everyone who knew her. Those who knew Lynette will remember a woman whose life was marked by connection, kindness, and a welcoming spirit. She had a special gift for making others feel at ease, and her love for togetherness shaped so many treasured memories. Whether gathered with family, laughing with friends, or enjoying an ordinary day made special by her presence, Lynette created a sense of comfort and joy that will not be forgotten.

Above all else, Lynette was a loving grandmother. Her grandchildren held an especially precious place in her heart. She often said that her greatest accomplishments in life were her children and grandchildren, and that everything else was simply a bonus.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Donald Combs; son, Joshua (Shelldonna) Weir; daughter, Georice (John) Lockhart; bonus children, Latasha (Dereck) Combs, Diminica Combs, Dante Combs, and Donald Combs III, sister; Terri Urban; brother, Jason (Jennifer) Weir; and her beloved grandchildren, Keiana, Mariah, John III, Liberty, Isabella, Edward, Natalie, Derrick, Aryanna, Londyn, Lydia and Destiny.

Lynette also leaves behind her goddaughter, Hannah Duty; her closest and dearest friends, Clara Smith and Carrie Grubbs; and an abundance of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives were made brighter simply because Lynette was in them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Joyce Weir; her beloved son, Jared Weir; her grandson, Trevone Harris; her niece, Lacy Weir; her best friend, Dianne Duty; and many other beloved family members and friends who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.

Knowing Lynette, she would want us to laugh through the tears, tell the stories a little louder, enjoy the Blizzard from Dairy Queen because “lifes short, who gives a shit”, give the kids the candy and remember that life is meant to be lived with love and hell of a lot of grit.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday October 24th, 2026 at 12:00PM at the following location:
