Kenneth Wayne Richardson was born on April 13, 1958, in Burlington, Iowa, to Melvin and Juanita Richardson. He passed away on March 25th, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who loved him deeply.

Ken was a devoted husband to Sally Richardson, whom he married on July 12, 1990. Earlier in life, he was united in marriage to Tammy Bowdre (Adams) on September 19, 1982, and together they welcomed two daughters, Stacy and Heather.

He was a proud and loving father to Stacy Stanbary (Joe), Shane Richardson (Brooklyn) and Heather Love (Nick). Ken was also a cherished grandfather to Christopher Richardson, Caitlin Hamann (Damian), Tucker Richardson, Kamryn Richardson, Ryker Hamann, Kye Richardson, and Skylar Hamann.

Christopher Richardson and Caitlin Hamann held a particularly special place in Ken’s heart, as he helped raise them and played a meaningful role in their lives.

Ken is survived by his siblings: Randy, Richard, Jeff, John, Charlotte McGregor, Debbie Hartman, Susan Stratton, and Sherry DeKlotz. He was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck.

Ken dedicated many years of service to Flint Cliffs Manufacturing, where he was well known for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication.

Outside of his professional life, Ken found his greatest joy in the garage, where he spent countless hours tinkering, repairing, and building with his hands. When he wasn’t there, he could often be found at the racetrack, one of his favorite places embracing his passion for cars and his lifelong love of racing.

Ken will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his deep love for family, and his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Celebration of Life will be April 2nd, 2026 at the Morning Sun Community Center from 4pm-7pm where there will be a light dinner provided while sharing memories. Dress casual or if you have any racing shirt, please wear that in remembrance of Kenny.
