Josephine Veronica Eckendorf

Josephine Veronica Eckendorf, born on November 21, 1945, gracefully departed this world on October 7, 2025 at Aspirus Hospital. A cherished member of her community, Josephine was known for her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to both her family and friends. Josephine was born in Chicago IL  and resided in Wausau WI.

Throughout her life, Josephine developed a passion for shopping, which became a favorite that brought her happiness. She was best known for her role as a cashier at County Market, where her friendly demeanor and love of conversation made her a beloved figure among customers and coworkers alike. Josephine had a remarkable ability to connect with others, effortlessly brightening the days of those around her with her warmth and charm. Josephine had four Children: Jim(Gina) Bucki, John Bucki, Jerry(Laura) Bucki and Jennifer Wolff. 

Family played a central role in Josephine’s life. She took immense pride in her culinary skills, especially when it came to creating holiday meals. These gatherings were filled with laughter and love, as she relished the time spent with her grandchildren, nurturing their bonds over delicious food and shared memories. Josephine had 8 Grand kids and 4 Great Grand kids. 

Josephine Eckendorf leaves behind a legacy of kindness and the unforgettable memories she created throughout her life. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
