Jerome Tilmon Hunt Jr., born on November 14, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois to Jerome T Hunt Sr (deceased) and Patricia Hunt (nee Scott), departed this life on July 9, 2025.
He was deeply cherished and will be lovingly missed by his son, Jayden; mother, Patricia; sister, Evette; brothers Brian, Jeffrey and Jason. He, also, leaves behind a host of nieces, a nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Jay, as he was affectionately known, was the life of every gathering. His vibrant personality and infectious laugh could brighten anyone's day. His joyful spirit and sense of humor brought laughter to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jay found immense happiness in shared experiences, especially during camping trips and barbecues, where he would gather loved ones to enjoy the great outdoors, good food, and a good game of spades. These moments were not just activities for him; they were opportunities to strengthen bonds and create a tapestry of joyful memories.
You were my first born son, whom I loved dearly. You had such a great spirit. You will truly be missed by your entire family. I hope you're at peace in Heaven, son. I will love you always. Love, Mom
I feel your absence so much, Dad. I will love you forever. Love, Jayden
You helped shape me into a better person. My soul acknowledges the profound loss of yours--the one who kept it calm, poured love into it, and showed it grace. I love you, brother. Keep watching over me until we meet again. Love, Evette
You were my brother, and I'm going to miss you. Love, Brian
To my oldest brother, I'll miss your sense of humor and happiness that you carried every day. The good times and bad were worth it. Rest in Heaven. Love, Jason
You're my oldest uncle and by far the liveliest. You were the life of the party‐-the party didn't start until you arrived. Your jokes and infectious laugh lit up every room you entered. You had a way of making everyone feel seen and reminding us all not to take life too seriously. It won't be the same without you, but your spirit will live on in every celebration, every family story, and every burst of laughter that brings us joy. We love you always. Love, Keona
Uncle, Jay, I'm heartbroken that you're gone. Though we didn't have much time together as I wished for, every moment we shared was precious to me. Your love and presence in my life meant the world. I'll cherish the memories we made and hold them close to my heart. Rest in peace, dear uncle Jay. Love you more than words can say. Love, Boo
I will cherish the memories. You will always be missed. --Linda
