Gary Gene Gebis, born on July 19, 1951, passed away on February 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Gary was a devoted father to his three children- William, Gary, and Heather; and a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Ryan, Jake, and Cassandra.
Throughout his life, Gary found happiness in simple pleasures. His love for baseball and bowling was evident to all who knew him. Gary also enjoyed spending time fishing, indulging in his love for sweets in the middle of the night, and sitting down at the bar for a game of video poker.
His home wasn’t just his home. It was the family’s treasured meeting spot to partake in yearly traditions, such as Christmas, the annual family pool tournament, or annual pierogi party.
An ardent music lover, he had a special fondness for the timeless sounds of The Beatles and the impactful melodies of Billy Joel, which served as a soundtrack to many moments in his life.
He was a selfless father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend finding immense joy in spoiling his family members, whether it be to a trip to Vegas, a new baseball stadium trip, or a concert outing.
Gary is survived by his loving children, a devoted daughter-in-law, Marikay (Hopp), his brother Wayne, and his sister-in-law Kathy. Each of them carries forward the warmth and light Gary brought into their lives. His passion, kindness, and infectious spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
