Frederick Augustus Bernard Penn Sr. was born on November 6, 1944, and passed away on December 25, 2025. He lived a life rich with dreams, aspirations, and conversations, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Frederick spent the majority of his life dedicated to his businesses. He started off in sales, becoming one of the top insurance salesmen at his company. He went on to produce and sell his own line of hair care products: Penn Aloe Gold. Penn Aloe Gold was succeeded by LearnLearnLearn, Inc. in which Frederick visited schools and provided learning products. It was after LearnLearnLearn that he would create his main business: The Institute of Self Esteem and Evaluation, or ISEE. Through ISEE, Frederick provided seminars on building, cultivating, and maintaining one's self-esteem to parents, schools, and corporations. He also wrote a book geared toward parents called “111 Wonderful Ways to Build Children’s Self Esteem and Confidence Everyday.” To his own family, he taught the importance of positivity, and was generous in sharing the lessons he'd learned over the course of his life. Spiritual though not religious, Frederick always gave credit to God for being the source of his strength. He believed that the power of God is within each of us, waiting for us to tap into it.
Frederick was best known for his passion for discussing self-esteem and confidence, often sharing his insights with those around him through long, heartfelt lectures filled with wisdom and humor. He had a remarkable ability to instill confidence in others, fostering a supportive environment where individuals felt valued and heard.
Frederick also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His happy place was undoubtedly when sitting before a good meal. One of Frederick's greatest dreams was to visit Africa with his family, a journey he envisioned would provide profound experiences and cherished memories. This dream was often a topic of conversation, reflecting his deep connection to the beauty of the continent and its rich history, especially the pyramids, which he held in high esteem.
As a father, Frederick never hesitated to share the values he cherished most with his children, such as the importance of embracing positivity. His presence will be dearly missed, yet his legacy of confidence, conversation, and familial love will continue to resonate with those he leaves behind. He is succeeded by his son, three loving daughters, and six beautiful grandchildren whom he loved dearly. The memories of Frederick Augustus Bernard Penn Sr. will forever live in our hearts.
