With heavy hearts, we announce that Fawne Astelle Granby, age 58, was called home to Heaven on February 22, 2026. She was born in Medford, Oregon, on September 18, 1967, and resided on the West Coast for the majority of her adolescence. She later moved to Wisconsin in her teens, where she spent the rest of her life in the Madison and McFarland area.
Fawne was full of life and free-spirited, bringing sunshine wherever she went and welcoming everyone with open arms with absolutely no judgment. She loved all types of music, dancing in her kitchen, spending time at her camper in the Dells, and laughing with her loved ones. Her love for Jesus was magnetic, not in a pushy way; you could simply feel it. She was passionate, kind, and warm, and her positivity was infectious. She loved her family deeply and wholeheartedly, and her passing has left us devastated, to say the least.
She lived a hard and fast life at times, but she was always honest about her struggles. She never shied away from telling her story and often shared her testimony in hopes of helping others. Her experiences ultimately led her to open A Pathway Home in August 2008, a nonprofit organization that provided faith-based sober living services for women and men recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
She poured her heart and soul into the organization and helped countless people along their journeys to recovery. Serving others in this way was truly her calling.
In May 2015, she graduated from Madison Area Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Human Services, furthering her knowledge and strengthening her commitment to helping those in need. She was truly one of a kind and will be remembered for her compassion, honesty, and dedication to others.
Fawne is survived by her mother, Jolene; daughters, Rochae and Nikita (Rashaun); sons, Tyson, Wesley, and Finn; her partner, Glenn, and their dog, Juno; sisters, Zayna, Tammy, and Terri; brother, Clayton (Brenda); granddaughters, Harmony, Melody, and Nova; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was welcomed into Heaven by her stepfather, Bill; daughters, Rhesa and Chelsea; sons, Jesse and Weston; and father, William Penn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. A service will follow from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. A celebration of life and lunch will be held from 12:30–1:30 p.m. at Crossroads Church, located at 3815 S. Dutch Mill Rd., Madison, WI 53718.
