Emily Marie Emerick, born October 17, 2004 passed away in the late morning of March 9th. Emily was a happy loving person who brightened the life of all who new her.             She loved Dungeons and Dragons, being taught by her father, and playing bi-weekly with a tight knit group of friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.She loved to be out and about. Whether it was the farmer's market, crafting stores, amusement parks, bingo, or just spending time with family at a restaurant, Emily was an out going extrovert who cheered up everyone around her with her optimism and quirky humor.She could never have enough books! She read constantly, some of her favorite including Harry Potter and A Court of Thorns and Roses.She loved all types of art; drawing, crafting, jewelry making, and painting, all of which she used to bring out her beautiful creative spirit.Some of her other favorite things included collecting plushed toys and blankets, Star Wars, Marvel, Supernatural, and Criminal Minds.Emily had a rare ability to uplift others, making them smile and laugh. She will always be remembered as someone who brought light and joy to every person around her, no matter how briefly they knew her.Emily left peacefully, but unexpectedly in her sleep due to complications of kidney failure along with other severe health issues that she had fought for years with a quiet strength, beautiful smile, and steely optimism.She is survived by her mother, Leslie and father, Jim and her stepfather Lucas Alaniz. She is also survived by 5 siblings, Max Emerick, Armand Alaniz, Griffin Rittenhouse, and Adora Alaniz, and step brother Alex Alaniz, who she loved more than anything, and her sweet kitten, Mia Rose.
