Dalewayne Eugene Turner, of West Frankfort, Illinois, passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 38. Born on October 7, 1987, at Herrin Hospital, Dalewayne was a beloved son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend whose presence brought laughter, comfort, and happiness to those fortunate enough to know him.

Dalewayne had a heart of gold and was always there when someone close to him needed him. He was a strong shoulder to lean on during difficult times and had a special way of making people feel better, often putting a smile on their faces even if it meant making himself the joke. He was truly one of a kind—a jokester, a prankster, and someone whose laughter and personality will never be forgotten.

Dalewayne treasured spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, playing video games, working on cars, and building things with his hands. Later in life, he took up boxing and working out, and he developed a passion for collecting sports memorabilia.

A devoted Chicago Bears fan, Dalewayne’s love for the team was infectious. His enthusiasm made it nearly impossible for the people around him not to become Bears fans themselves. Whether watching a game, talking sports, playing video games, or simply spending time with the people he loved, Dalewayne found ways to make ordinary moments memorable.

Dalewayne will be deeply missed by his surviving family, including his brothers Billy & (Stacy)Turner , Steven Turner, Scotty Turner, Dallas Jason (Carolina)Neeley, Eddie (Ann)Turner, and James Adams; his sisters Loressa Turner and Billie Jean (Vincent) Malecki. Nieces and nephews W.Dalton (Hunter)Turner, Katelynn Arrington, Brandon Turner, Tyler Kraft, Jordan Turner, Jadelynn Turner, Ty Turner, William Turner, Makala Ortiz, Austin Turner, and Waylon Turner. Several great nieces, nephews, extended family members. And a group of friends that were like brothers. They had a crew like no other.

He was preceded in death by his Parents William (Kendra)Turner,and His cousins Amber Allen, Brian Allen, and Kaylee Delahunt. grandparents Willam Clarence (Edna) Turner,& Fred (Fae)Neeley.

Though his time with us was far too short, Dalewayne leaves behind countless memories, stories, laughs, and moments that will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His kindness, humor, loyalty, and unmistakable personality made him someone who could never truly be replaced.

Dalewayne was one of a kind, and he will never be forgotten. Rest easy, Dale. You will always be loved and forever missed. Hold it down till we get there....
